The Board of Directors of Great Nigeria Insurance Plc is made up of distinguished
personalities that have made their mark in their respective fields of endeavor:

MR. BADE ALUKO - Chairman

Mr. Bade Aluko Is The Chairmam Of The Board Of Directors. He Has Over 25 Years Experience In The ICT Sector And Has Been In Senior Management Positions For Over 20 Years. Bade Is A Graduate Of Computer Science From University Of Lagos And An Alumni Of The Prestigious Lagos Business School Chief Executive Program.

He Started His Career With Technology And Systems Ltd (T&S) A Division Of SCOA Group Of Companies As An Analyst/Programmer And Later Joined DPMS Limited (the Former IBM Operational Base In Nigeria) Where He Held Several Positions And Left In 1993 As Manager, Software Service (RISC & PC Systems). He Started ROE Limited, An Information Technology Services Company In 1994 With Some Friends, And Was Executive Director (Operations) Of The Company From Inception Till 1997, When He Was Seconded To Form And Manage A Wholly Owned Application Software Focused Subsidiary Of ROE Limited Called Finance Application Systems Limited (FASYL). He Was Able To Grow FASYL To A Multi Group With Offices And Subsidiaries Operations In 13 Countries Spanning Over 3 Continents.

A Widely Travelled Business Executive, He Is Renowned For Identifying And Nurturing New Business Initiatives. He Currently Seats On The Board Of Several Notable Companies In Nigeria, India, Mauritius, South Africa And United Kingdom. His Management And Technical Exposure Is Quite Extensive And Has Seen Him Attend Several Technical And Managerial Seminars And Courses In Africa, United Kingdom And USA.

Bade Is Happily Married And Blessed With Two Kids. In His Leisure Times, He Enjoys Watching Movies, Reading, Mentoring And Sharing His Entrepreneurship Knowledge With The Young Up And Coming Entrepreneurs Across The Globe.

ARCHBISHOP ALABA JOB - Director

Archbishop Job is a globally respected and loved clergy. In the Nigeria's catholic and public circles, he is also known and accepted as a towering figure of respect, mediation and helper of the downtrodden. Since his retirement in 2013, he has been elevated to the status of Archbishop Emeritus'.

Archbishop Job was ordained as a priest in 1966. Five years later in 1971, he was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Ibadan and within the same period appointed the Titular Bishop of Abthugni.

In 1974, the young Alaba Job was appointed Bishop of Ibadan and twenty years later in 1994, he was appointed the Archbishop of Ibadan. By the time of his retirement in 2013, he was already the Chairman of the Conference of the Catholic Bishop of Nigeria, a decision making and respected gathering of Catholic clergies. Archbishop Alaba Job is a widely travelled clergy who brings his diverse experience to the board of Great Nigeria Insurance Plc.

MR. AJAYI AKINTOLA O., B.Sc., FCA - Director

Mr. Akin Ajayi is an Economics graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (University of Ife, Ile-Ife); A Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria; and a seasoned Banker stretching over 20 years. He was appointed the Managing Director of Equity Bank of Nigeria Plc.in March 2003, and held this position until October 2005 when the Bank merged with Intercontinental Bank Plc. to form one of the biggest Banks in Nigeria.

He retired from the Bank in October 2008 as an Executive Director, handling various responsibilities both within and outside Nigeria. He is currently the Chairman/CEO of Libra Energy Services Ltd.

Married with children, Mr. Ajayi is a member of the Ikoyi club, the Lagos Motor Boat club as well as the Institute of Directors of Nigeria.

MR. KAREEM SHAMSIDEEN O., B.Sc. (Eng), Dip (Blg), MNSE - Director

Mr. Kareem holds a Diploma in Building Technology and Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of South Bank, London a Member of Nigeria Society of Engineers. Shamsideen is an experienced Engineer with a successful professional career at Mobil both in Nigeria and most countries in Africa. While in service, he handled different portfolios in Mobil and rose to become the Chairman/Managing Director of Mobil Oil Ghana, Togo, Sierra Leone and Liberia, General Manager, ExxonMobil Global Services Company in Nigeria (comprising Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF), Procurement, ExxonMobil Information Technology (EMIT) & Infrastructure Projects); the position he held till his retirement in 2015.

In the area of commerce Mr. Kareem attended the Lagos Business School, Pan Africa University and Instituto De Estudios Superiores De La Empresa (IESE) in Spain for Senior Management Programme in 1994. He has also attended various leadership training in UK, Belgium, France and USA.

A member of both the Nigeria Society of Engineer (NSE) and International Facilities Management (IFM) respectively. Since retirement, he has been providing Advisory Services to ExxonMobil in Nigeria on Real Estate and Facility Management.

MRS. OSIPITAN CECILIA OLAPEJU, B.Sc, ACII, MPA, LLB - Managing Director/CEO

Osipitan Is A Seasoned Underwriter, Marketer And An Administrator With Proven Management Capacities, Vast Academic Background And Profound Experience. She Is Also A Renowned And Respected Insurance Professional With Over 20 Years Of Cognate Experience In Insurance.

Cecilia Graduated From The University Of Ibadan With A Bachelor Of Science Degree In Medical Sciences And Physiotherapy With A Second Class Upper Division. She Also Holds A Master Degree In Public Administration From University Of Lagos. She Also Has A Bachelor Of Law Degree From The Same University.

She Is An Associate Member Of Both The Chartered Insurance Institute Of Both London And Nigeria Respectively; She Is Also A Member Of Professional Insurance Ladies Association (PILA), A Member Of The Governing Council Of NIA And Risk & Insurance Management Society Of Nigeria (RIMSON), And An Alumnus Of Thames Valley University, London (School Of Management Studies) And Lagos Business School (CEP 16).

Osipitan Started Her Career In Insurance With Royal Exchange Assurance Of Nigeria (REAN) And Rose To The Position Of An Executive Director On The Board Of REAN, She Also Held Various Positions Such As Head (personal Line Department), Head (Commercial Property Department), Assistant General Manager (Underwriting, Claims, & Risk Management), Deputy General Manager (Operations) Until Her Appointment As Managing Director/CEO Of UNIC In January 2006. She Was Later Appointed The Managing Director/CEO Of Insurance PHB. She Joined Great Nigeria Insurance Plc In December 2009 As The Managing Director/CEO.

She Has Attended Several Technical And Management Courses Both Within And Outside The Country In The Course Of Her Career.

MRS. ULAETO ROSELYNE, HND, ACII, ADIIM - Executive Director, Technical Operations

Ulaeto is an astute insurance professional with over 20 years experience in the Insurance industry. She is a graduate of insurance from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. She is an associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institutes of London and Nigeria. She also holds an Advance Diploma in Insurance and Investment Management (ADIIM) from the University of Lagos.

Ulaeto began her insurance career with one of Nigeria's foremost Life Assurance & Pensions Specialist Offices, African Alliance Insurance Co Ltd and rose to the position of Deputy General Manager, Technical. Before then, she was Head of Technical Operations, Group Business Department overseeing the Company's pension schemes, and Head Technical, Individual Life Businesses overseeing the Management of individual life portfolio. She was also involved in the design and marketing of the company's special products. She left African Alliance for ADIC Insurance Company Limited in March 2008 as the Head of Life Underwriting and Technical Operations, the position she was before joining Great Nigeria Insurance Plc in February 2010 as Executive Director, Life.

She has also attended several technical and Management courses both within and outside Nigeria.
